He encouraged me to continue working out while I going through chemotherapy, and I did, working out three to four days a week when I was able. He motivated me to want to come to the gym, even on days that I Didn’t feel so great. He helped me keep my strength up and he made me laugh, and I am forever grateful.
If you are fortunate enough to have an opportunity to work with Andy, you will find him to be passionate, compassionate, well educated, honest, dedicated, organized, and responsible. He pushes me to work hard, and that is exactly what I need. What a great role model he is. I would not be the person I am today had I not met Andy. “My name is Tricia and I’m 30 years old. After finding out I was pre-diabetic, I was lucky enough to find Andy and Laura. Laura was a surprise but when Andy mentioned that she is a dietitian, I felt that my luck had changed even more than I thought! Andy made me feel welcome into his space (gym) and I felt there was absolutely no judgement – just that he wanted to help me feel better and get healthier. I enjoy my workouts and feel that I’m getting the attention I need from Andy. All you have to do is simply follow instruction. Get the cardio in that you’re supposed to and the weight literally falls off! I’ve lost fifty pounds total since I started with Andy 2 months ago!
Shortly after I started with Andy, I met with Laura for the first time. I was extremely nervous about this. I was worried that I wasn’t going to be able to eat anything I liked and that I would be chastised for what I was previously eating – that was not the case at all. Again, there was no judgement. Laura made me feel comfortable and was very understanding. She made my life so much easier just by writing down what my options are as far as snacks and meals. I have a lot of options and am able to email Laura when I have questions or want to know more recipes.
The one thing that I’m always so thankful for is the education that Andy and Laura have. They know so much about the physiological needs for the human body and how to make it change for the better. They understand what healthy weight loss is. If you’re willing to listen and complete their advisement’s, it actually works. I feel like I melted away in a few weeks time.
Ultimately, I owe my life to Andy and Laura and I feel like we have only just begun my journey to a better me. I don’t want to quit and while there have been obstacles with my body, I know I will be able to continue being healthy. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. I’m so incredibly thankful for the education I receive on a weekly basis but most importantly, the constant support and friendship I’ve been given from Andy and Laura.”
